Dr Rahul Mishra spoke at the “The Future of Conflict and Conflict Settlement in Asia” conference

Dr Rahul Mishra spoke at the “The Future of Conflict and Conflict Settlement in Asia” conference. The conference was held as a two-day event on September 29-30 in Bangkok.

The aim of the conference was to look at the prospective developments of the Asian conflict setting as well as at the ways in which such conflicts are prevented, mitigated or settled at regional, inter-state, and intra-state levels.

To this end, the conference provided an opportunity for leaders and experts in foreign policy who have worked in peace and conflict to talk about their professional experiences and share their insights.

At present, confirmed speakers include:

• H.E. Kasit Piromya, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, 
• H.E. Yukihisa Fujita, Member of the Japanese House of Councillors, and
• Dr Roland B Wilson, Co-Director of the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia).
