The Editor-in-Chief of AEI Insights: An International Journal of Asia-Europe Relations invites authors to submit manuscripts for consideration in this refereed, bi-annual journal. We are now calling for original research article contributions for Volume 9, Issue 1 of the journal that will be published in print and online, in early 2023.
Articles accepted include, but are not limited to those broadly covering Asia and Europe with topics related to international relations, geo-politics, geo-strategy, global governance, international cooperation, international organisations, political economy, regional values, regionalism and regionalisation, inter-regionalism, ASEAN, European Union and related mechanisms such as ASEM, ASEAN Regional Forum, etc.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their original research articles 6,000–8,000 words in length. However, article length out of this range may also be considered on a case-to-case basis. Article should include a concise abstract of 200–300 words and 5 -7 relevant keywords.
All submitted articles will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis by no fewer than 2 members of the journal’s Editorial Board or International Advisory Board. Final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers and at the sole discretion of the Managing Editor.
The journal also considers Book reviews and Op-eds of about 1000 – 1500 words in length for publication but this will be at the sole discretion of the Managing Editor. Authors are requested to contact the Managing Editor before submission of an Op-ed or Book Review to discuss the scope of the op-ed/book title.
Authors should format submissions to be single-spaced paragraphs and in 12-point Times New Roman font. Manuscripts should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines. For details of the APA style, kindly refer to http://www.apastyle.org/. Please note that references used must be listed down at the end of the paper. The use of footnotes is optional, based on necessity and cannot replace references.
Papers must be written using UK English. Past issues of AEI Insights can be accessed by visiting https://aei.um.edu.my/aei-insights.
The deadline for submission to the upcoming Volume 9, Issue 1 is 15th January 2023.
